Survey: Environmental values and attitudes towards microbes amongst researchers
Two researchers from Professor Louise Horsfall’s group at the University of Edinburgh (Kyle Parker and Marie-Louise Woehrle) are currently conducting a survey-based study to better understand the relationship between environmental values and attitudes towards microbes amongst researchers working in microbiology and environmental biotechnology. EBIC are pleased to be able to share the survey request below:
“We would like to invite you to take part in a survey on your attitudes towards the environment and towards microbes. We are conducting this research to better understand how these intersect amongst professionals working in microbiology and environmental biotechnology.
What’s involved?
We’d like you to complete the following survey (approx. 10-12 minutes), which will ask you to rank how much you agree with a series of statements, as well as for some information about your professional background.
Why participate?
This research will better help us understand how social ideas and personal motivations interact with scientific research. This study will contribute to wider work in responsible research and innovation and science and technology studies, investigating the social dynamics of scientific research.
This research has been approved by the ethics committee of the School of Biology, University of Edinburgh.
