EBIC joined colleagues from Cranfield Water Science Institute (CWSI), as well as Cranfield Centre for Design Engineering and CDTWire at the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Glasgow (4-8 October) to showcase its innovative research work and the fantastic opportunities it offers to address environmental challenges.

This 5-day event attracts some 10,000 visitors from all sectors of water industry, NGO’s, researchers and many more from around the world; offering a unique opportunity to connect and build relationships with potential industry partners, water utilities and technology providers. Exhibiting at IWA provided EBIC with a valuable opportunity to showcase how engineering biology can help address some of the water sector’s most pressing environmental challenges. Having thousands of water professionals, researchers, industry leaders and decision-makers from around the world created an ideal platform to raise EBIC’s profile, share innovative research and demonstrate the exciting potential of biological solutions in areas such as water treatment, pollution remediation and even resource recovery.

Reflecting on the event, Peter Jarvis, Hard of Centre, CWSI, highlighted the great potential the event represents for the Water Research Community and the Water Sector.
